This shoot was such a fun and great experience! As a Weddings at the Broz Photographer, I was able to show off a new style that I don’t often get to use. For this shoot, we were going for more of a dark and moody feeling. A lot of the time, my photography is actually really bright and bursting with color! I had a hard time choosing the images for this sneak peek, there are SO many amazing ones. The models and the vendors went all out and this shoot went off amazingly.

Weddings at the Broz is a new venue in New Prague, and I couldn’t be more happy! Not only do I love Jackie, who runs it, but I have a special place in my heart for New Prague, MN. My husband and Dad are both from New Prague, and years ago (many years!), I had my senior photographs taken in this building. It is such a beautiful space and I can’t wait to photograph my next wedding as a Weddings at the Broz Photographer here!

It is so much fun to be a part of parties. Aurelia’s second birthday party was no exception, as you can see in the photo, she was super excited to turn two! She ran around with that balloon until the wind took it and then it was stuck in the tree. As many children, she thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake and was amazed by the flame! As a Jordan Family Photographer, I often am able to be a part of milestones, such as this!

In my career, I’ve been able to attend many networking events. This was my first time attending a NACE event, and I can happily say it won’t be the last! I had such an amazing time photographing the beautiful food. Mintahoe did not disappoint! The stations they created were each uniquely designed and delicious. The food presentation was equally appealing as the taste! I loved the array of cuisines, from the Farm Table, Salad Shooters to the Oyster Bar, the Street Tacos and of course ending up at the Sweet station! As a Minneapolis Food Photographer, it’s always awesome to be able to be the photographer at these events too. Being a Eden Prairie Garden Room Photographer is also something to add to my list of favorites. There are so many different options inside and out, which really makes it a hidden gem.

Katy and Steven have a classic love story that everyone wants! They met their senior year in college at Mankato State and have been together ever since. They both love the same things, cheesy and scary horror movies, and of course their two dogs! Something that Katy and Steven also love is wine, and for their special ceremony had wine together- it was extremely fitting! They chose Pique Travel Design because it is close to where they live and it has wonderful rustic charm. I loved photographing as a Pique Travel Design Wedding Photographer, it is close to home and such a beautiful space!

Kellie and Tommy have quickly become some of my favorite people (I know I say this all the time, I love my brides and grooms)! One of my favorite parts of their wedding as a Muse Event Center Wedding Photographer was that their dog, Murphy, was a part of the day. Murphy was even a part of the proposal, Tommy placed a bandana around his neck that said “Mom will you marry my Dad?”. Kellie and Tommy met when they both lived in the same Condo complex in downtown Minneapolis. These two are very competitive, but still enjoy playing and watching sports together. It has been quite a rainy summer, and their wedding day was no different. We were very lucky that it cleared up and stayed clear, just in time for all the photographs!

I absolutely love documenting the different stages in life, starting with Weddings, moving onto Maternity, Newborns and then the birthdays following. I have a brand new studio inside my home so now Courtney June Photography is officially a Jordan Family Photographer! I photographed Olivia when she was just a couple weeks old, and it was amazing to see how much she has grown. Cake Smash sessions are a lot of fun, for a lot of littles, it’s their first time experiencing sugar. Olivia was no different, she wasn’t sure how to react once she tasted it! It’s not often that I am in front of the camera instead of behind it! This was a different experience for me. I am happy to showcase that both my girls that second shoot for me (Sarah Hague and Natalie Eckstein) did an amazing job! Do I need a little story like I normally have? Courtney and Matthew met when they were 12 years old, and dated on and off till they were 17. Now 20+ years later after they first met, they are getting married!

Winter engagement sessions are so fun! It’s hard sometimes to do them here because who wants to look gorgeous in the freezing cold?! Callie sure made it seem like it wasn’t that cold out, her face glowed! Callie and Cody are such a fun couple, they have a lot of little quirks that make them fit like puzzle pieces. I love the photo with their books, it helps describe their personalities in one image!

It is becoming more and more popular that couple meet online, even on Tinder! Shannon and Phil are one of the success stories, and they knew from the moment they met it was meant to be. Their first date lasted almost 72 hours! Phillip and Shannon are HUGE dungeons and dragons players and so when Phillip proposed he knew that it had to be incorporated. They went back east to visit Phillip’s parents and were playing the game, Shannon found a mini chest (on a dead body!) and in that chest was her ring. To make things even more special Phil filmed the whole thing! When I first met with Shannon and Phil, we knew that we had a great connection. We sat and talked for almost an hour and a half. Part of what I love about this couple is their caring hearts. For their honeymoon, they are planning a trip to Haiti. Shannon visited in 2015 and fell in love with the people, and they want to be able to give back and help those in need!

Everytime I photography a newborn, I know that I am in for a bit of an adventure! Ezra was such a great little model, he was eating up the camera attention, which is unusual. Sometimes newborns are fussy because they don’t like to be naked, but he was a different story. He actually got more upset when we took him off the blankets to switch out the backdrops. I think he might be a model in the making!
