Each time I photograph as a First Birthday Cake Smash Photographer I can’t believe how much babies grow since their newborn session! Ezra has really become such a little man over the past year. When we plan the first birthday session, I always like to include any props that were a part of the party. It really helps to have that when you are putting together albums or scrapbooks. It’s an added memory maker!

This NACE event was a little bit different. because not only was it a Holiday party, but it was the announcement of the new board and awards. A’BriTin Catering had a delicious array of food and treats and the prime rib was delicious! Apres Event Decor and Tent Rental did the decor and had some awesome new clear chairs to show off. There were prizes to be won, and we did a lot of group photos, new board, awards and past board. There was definitely holiday cheer in the air! This was my third time being able to photograph as a The Blaisdell photographer, and I can’t wait for the next wedding or event to be able to do it again!

It is so amazing how fast children grow, I can’t believe it’s been a year since photographing Evelyn’s newborn session. All of the props for this session were supplied and made by Arianna, and they couldn’t have worked out better. The theme of twinkle, twinkle, little one was not only catchy but so adorable. First Birthday Cake Smash Photography is always such a fun thing to photograph. You just never know the reaction the little one is going to give!

October is a fun month to get married in, fall is in full swing and the leaves are still in color. The only hard part is in Minnesota you never know what the weather could bring! We choose to head back to the Union Depot, where we shot Callie and Cody’s engagement session back in February to take some photos without freezing. It ended up not being as cold of a day as we imagined and still were able to take some awesome photos outside. Callie and Cody’s hashtag is #mutualweirdnessforever and it is a great definition of their relationship. Because they don’t always like to do things like everyone else, we switched up the first look and had them come to each other at the same time. One of the funniest things I find about them, is because they didn’t technically have a proposal before announcing it to Callie’s out of state family, Cody uses the opportunity to propose all over. Disneyland, Target, movie theater parking lot, the sky’s the limit!

Every month, I have the privilege of being the NACE official photographer. This month not only did we have a Chopped Edition competition and silent auction at the Hilton Bloomington Minneapolis, but we had three special judges! We had Sue Zelickson of WCCO, Falen of KDWB and her husband, Jake! The Chopped groups had to prepare a salsa for the judges to sample and elect a winner. All the teams gave 100%, and there were some delicious looking salsas! The judges chose their favorite and the members of the team got a fun prize of wine. I am grateful every month that I can showcase my skills as a Minneapolis Food Photographer.

I have been having a blast this year as a US Bank Private Tour Photographer! This is my second one of the year, and it was in honor of Robert’s birthday. Chandra and Robert have been lifelong Vikings fans, so when Chandra asked me to document their private tour, I happily accepted! They also had the honor of attending the game the next day, which was an awesome game. They had amazing seats right behind the goal post, so of course we had to take photos of them in their seats!

Emily and Reid are one of the sweetest couples I have had the pleasure of photographing! I photographed their engagement session last year and I was able to get to know them better. They included their dog, Bauer in both the engagement session and the wedding, which I absolutely LOVE! They treat Bauer like he is their “baby”, but I would too if he was mine! These two both love the outdoors; going for walks, hiking and fishing! Reid actually proposed to Emily on the first lake that they went fishing on together. Who know that a hangout with friends at Taco Bell, back in 2011 would end up being the start of true love?! This was my first time as a Bloom Lake Barn Wedding Photographer, and I can’t wait to photograph at this amazing barn again!

I was so excited for Mark and Elaine’s wedding. I had shot their engagement session almost exactly a year prior, and I really enjoyed getting to know them! Anyone who knows these two can say that they are definitely made for one another. They are both extremely thoughtful and have funny quirks that include quotings movies and tv shows. Mark and Elaine had one of the most unique things have yet to see at a wedding, Mark actually took Elaine’s last name. Elaine knew she always wanted to keep her last name, and after some talking Mark decided he would take it too! Wendy and Matt had such a fun, laid back wedding. It perfectly reflected their relationship, the decorations were black and orange and shouted out their love of Harley Davidson’s. Spring lake Town Hall was such a great venue! With Fish Lake in the background and the blank canvas for them to decorate the space and make it theirs. As a Prior Lake Wedding Photographer I love being able to photograph at new places that have great potential for photography.

One thing that Wendy told me, that I couldn’t even believe – her dress from JJhouse.com was $200! It fit her perfectly and I was amazed at the quality and style for the price. Other than the fact that you can tell they are meant for each other, just by being in their presence is their biggest quirk in their relationship. Their “hates” offset each other, one hates dishes and the other hates laundry!
