I love photographing newborns, each baby is different and it’s so wonderful to see what props Mom and Dad bring along! Another perk of an in home studio is being able to have all my props on hand to photograph too. Barrett was bright eyed and ready for his photos to be taken and did such a great job as a little model.

Props are such a great addition to any senior session,for Matthew he has grown up playing ball at a court by his house and wanted to make sure to have it included in his session. As a New Prague Senior Photographer, there are so many great locations that aren’t too far away. Matthew’s family has a cabin in Elysian and this was where he spent a lot of time and has some wonderful backdrops too!

This was the first time that I did a family session and a newborn session together not in the studio. I was surprised by the amount of hair the little guy had, it is more than I have! Alexandra went into labor earlier than she wanted, so she missed the chance to have a maternity session done. Her co-workers reached out to me to book a session as a gift to Alexandra and her family. I thought it was such a beautiful idea, and Lake Ann was a beautiful background. I can’t wait to have another family session as a Lake Ann Family Photographer.

Mary and Nate are such a great couple not only to photograph, but to spend time with. I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session and now their wedding! It also helps that I love these locations and being a Minneapolis Marriott Southwest Wedding Photographer! This couple loves to be adventurous, but also knows how to kick back and relax. They chose to go to Hawaii for their honeymoon and planned on doing both! They planned excursions and also planned on just sitting on the beach and taking it all in and enjoying being married. Ironically, Mary and Nate have known each other since they were both kids. Nate and Mary’s sister (Barb) went to the same preschool. Fast forward many years down the road and Mary and Nate reconnected in Mary’s parents kitchen when he was over having pizza with Barb. This just shows that paths that are suppose to connect will find their way!

Tasha and Kody are so comfortable together, and it really makes a difference when photographing couples that just mesh! They are both animal lovers, from adopting to fostering, they have taken on quite the array of four legged friends. We did their session at their private jordan residence because not only it is literally close to home, but also where they will host their wedding! Growing up on a farm, I love the at home farm sessions and it makes my job as a Farm Engagement Photographer that much better.

Callie and Derek have actually known each other for quite awhile, Derek was friends with Callie’s brother in High School. It wasn’t until they worked at a restaurant together that they really hit it off. They both love to travel together, and Derek popped the question in front of the Bellagio in Las Vegas when they were on their way to Japan! They chose Windows on Minnesota because of the elegance and the ambiance. As a Windows on Minnesota Wedding Photographer, I definitely agree! Their decor resembled architecture with the different levels, and Callie fell in love with the crystal balls as soon as she saw them. They were a bright shining piece in the decor!

When I met Heather and Chris, I had an instant connection with them. They were so easy to talk to, great sense of humor and love to laugh. As you can see with their sign too, their humor was definitely included in this session! It was a little windy the day of their engagement session, but it really helped to not have the heat like we’ve had all summer long. The sky was a perfect shade of blue and had some really nice puffy clouds too. I love using downtown Northfield as Northfield Engagement Photography because there are so many great options in a small area!

Fall is always one of the most popular seasons for family sessions, and it’s easy to see why: the colors are amazing! I have been photographing this family, since Mom was pregnant with #2, so every year it’s awesome to get them on the books. As a Jordan Family Photographer, it’s always great to see how the kids have grown from year to year. This year we had an addition of Grammy into the photos, the more the merrier!

I have known Lexi since she was a little girl, it’s hard to believe she is a New Prague Senior! When Lexi was younger, we did a portrait sessions until she was in Kindergarden at Lagoon Park. Naturally, we had to make sure that we recreated one of the last pictures we took!

Mary and Nate were such troopers braving the heat! We had a great sunset though to make it worth it. I loved the sign Mary found that said “it’s about time”. These two are so cute together- so I think I 100% agree that it’s time!
