Mitch and Mikaela are so laid back and easy to photograph. Not only because they are just so natural with each other but because they just fit together so well. This was such a joy to be a part of, not only because it’s always great to catch up, but this was a family engagement! It’s always so exciting to have a wedding in the family and an addition of family members. Mitch and Mikaela even brought along their puppy Briar to add to the session!

Sarah and Mason met one night at Cabooze, danced the night away and that was it for both of them- no more searching! When asking what they love about each other, they said that they are best friends, can rely on each other and they make each other smile everyday. Not everything is all sappy all the time with these two though, they are always laughing and their morning routine includes seeing who can fart the loudest!

They fell in love with Hyland Hills when they saw it, and knew immediately it was going to be their wedding venue. I can’t say I disagree, as a Hyland Hills Wedding Photographer, I love shooting there!

Cassandra and I started exchanging emails and all the planning started flowing! Once their day arrived, there was a bit of a hiccup. Their boxer puppy, Gus, was not feeling good and had to go to an emergency vet appointment. Things did turn around enough for their civil ceremony to happen and with how they both looked you would never know their were different emotions happening just hours before. The only emotions for that moment were some anxiouness, anticipation and happiness! Sam said that nothing between them is traditional and this just proved it!

I’ve been doing a lot more smaller weddings, (some call them micro too) and I love it! I still get just as much time with the Bride and Groom for wedding photography, but also the fun of the ceremony and some reception shots too. Angie and Ryan have only lived on their property for just over a month. They knew when they purchased it, it would be a great place for their wedding too. They have a beautiful huge tree in their front yard that was the perfect centerpiece for their intimate ceremony. Their property has tons of trees so it was always amazing for photos! This was a great day as a Mankato Wedding Photographer and Nicollet County Wedding Photography.

I have known Matti and Logan for several years: I photographed their wedding, and when they added their fur baby Nala to the family we did a family session. I was so estatic when Matti told me they were expecting, and even more so to come to their beautiful home to photograph. Nala is doing great as a big sister, and didn’t want to lose any attention or be left out of any photos. Sully was such a great little model too, he was awake most of the time but there was no fussing! It’s not too often I do in home sessions, and its always nice to do be able to be an in home newborn photographer.

You can tell when you are with a couple if there presense just naturally calms one another, and this is definitely true for Jenna and Dylan. Jenna and Dylan met years ago in High School and their love story just continued to grow. Now years later, they have began a new chapter by saying, “I do”! They chose their venue because it was somewhere they visit and knew what a great place it would be for a wedding. Well, they were right because it was a gorgeous place for a wedding!

Emily and Nicona have a banter that if you don’t know them, you’d look at them and think they’re crazy. They “nag” each other to make the other better – Nicona tells Emily to drink more water, and Emily tells Nicona he needs to sleep. Nicona’s Mom describes them as Sheldon and Amy from The Big Bang Theory, with less social awkwardness. NIcona tends to overexplain intellectually over people’s heads, and Amy (I mean Emily) will make a snarky yet complimenting comment back to him. I’ve spent time with both of them as they’ve been planning their wedding, and I can say they do very much compliment each other!

The chose their venue because it was beautiful, and the venue had everything all in one place. The pass by it everyday on the way to work and it had just the “vibe” they were looking for. Brianno’s Chart House has done a phenomenal job at remodeling and it was wonderful to be a Lakeville Chart House Wedding Photographer! I can’t wait to do it again!
