I have known Lexi since she was a little girl, it’s hard to believe she is a New Prague Senior! When Lexi was younger, we did a portrait sessions until she was in Kindergarden at Lagoon Park. Naturally, we had to make sure that we recreated one of the last pictures we took!
Mary and Nate were such troopers braving the heat! We had a great sunset though to make it worth it. I loved the sign Mary found that said “it’s about time”. These two are so cute together- so I think I 100% agree that it’s time!
It’s senior season! I know that a big season is typically in the fall, but I love doing end of summer session because of all the beautiful green! After a crazy pandemic year, Lauryn is ready to her senior year and this farm session turned out amazing! Even Tucker participated for a couple photos, it’s always great to include the fur babies in the photos.
I have been able to be a part of several milestones for this family, the start of their union as their wedding photographer, their first born’s newborn session and now Patrick’s newborn session! When their first son Jackson was born, I was still photographing in homes, luckily now I have a studio as a Jordan Studio Newborn Photographer. It’s crazy how much time flies from when you first have met people and started on a journey with them. Jackson is so grown up, and Patrick looks just like he did as a baby. Patrick wasn’t sure if he wanted to sleep during our session or be alert and see what was happening. Either way, he photographed wonderfully, because he’s so adorable, look at that head of hair!!
Katie and Luke met while they were on the road traveling. They both work in the music industry, Luke does set design and Katie is in charge of dressing rooms (fun work, right?!). This whirlwind of a romance let to an elopement in late December. Hotel Landing in Wayzata is one of the most amazing boutique hotels that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at. It has so many wonderful indoor places for a Wayzata Wedding Photographer, and even more when it’s summer outside! I’ve had the enjoyment in knowing Katie for many years (we went to photography school together in Santa Barbara, CA), and I am so excited she landed in the Midwest too! This beautiful couple is one that I am happy to call my friends, so glad for their union!
It’s been quite a cold fall compared to normal, but then again nothing has been normal about 2020! Luckily, Molly and Brian had wonderful weather for their wedding and the sun was shining. Even though pieces of their day had to change, they still had the ceremony they wanted, and their families surrounding them. They even had a full moon to end the night! As a Fireman’s Park Chaska Wedding Photographer, we couldn’t have asked for a better location!
Alex and Caysie have a relationship straight out of a book- girl has middle school crush on boy, they reconnect in High School and never part ways. Even one of their dogs has been along for the journey, Kastor was a promposal from Alex to Caysie. These two love to go on adventures, so it’s no surprise that when Alex proposed it was on one of their journeys. Caysie thought they were going on a hike, little did she know her future was about to change! Even though it didn’t go completely as planned- it was suppose to be trailhead (Alex didn’t know it had closed due to erosion), and they ended up in a random swampy campground in a parking lot next to a dumpster and a public restroom. The scenery didn’t matter- Caysie knew Alex was the one! Photographing as a The Garden’s of Castle Rock Wedding Photographer is such a dream. There are so many places for photographic opportunities, and it’s always a bonus when the owners are amazing!
As a photographer, I love growing with families. I photographed Anna and Nathan’s wedding several years ago, and I have loved being able to do a couple family sessions now since they had little “M”! Anna had gone into early labor with him, so she wasn’t able to do a maternity session the first go around, but luckily this time we were able to get one done! As a Carver Family Photographer, this is one of my very favorite locations, it has so many different options!
Everyone’s relationship is different and follows a different path, for Kim and Dan, this is very true. Kim defines it as backwards, but really it was their own way: 1. Had a baby, 2. Started a business, 3. Bought a house 4. Got married. This plan definitely work for them, and you could see the happiness in their faces throughout the day, even though this wasn’t their first plan for their wedding. The had originally planned on eloping/small ceremony in Colorado, but because COVID hit, they restructured their plans. Even though it was their 2nd choice, it still was a very beautiful day as a St Croix Wedding Photographer! There was plenty of sunshine, and the park was a perfect place to have there ceremony. Plus, they had their reception in their backyard, so it was even more their style!
It is always fun to be able to photograph a different part of a wedding day, especially when it’s as a Semple Mansion Wedding Photographer. This branding session was an awesome way to showcase behind the scenes of a great friend and coordinator Dana of Keyed Up Events. I was able to catch Dana literally in the act of setting up the reception room, and also the ceremony space. With the way that events are going these days, this setup definitely gave the guests space to social distance!
